From Behind Closed Doors is a special album which pulls
tracks which had been recorded through the 80's but had not orignally
been considered for the first four albums. The reasons for their
original exclusion are varied, but it was eventually decided
that some of the many tracks that hadn't seen the light of day
should be aired for listening.
The bulk of the album was compiled in 1987 in the Bovet Studio,
and was shelved for a number of years while Andy Hunt 'got through'
his first marriage. Two more tracks (Life's Rich Tapestry
and Valentine) were added to the album before its release
in 1989.
Highlights of the album include Calling For Me featuring
Andy Hunt's vocals an octave lower than usual, Waterhole
with the funky bass of Jason 'The Bass' and the apologetic I'm
Sorry.
The music of the album was pulled from behind closed doors
and into the light, and many were surprised by the number of
tracks Cloud Of Dust had produced during the productive
80's. |
