 Cloud
Of Dust is a recording project, rather than an actual band.
The Cloud Of Dust concept was co-founded in 1983 by Andy
Hunt and Steve Richards.
In the early years, it was Steve Richards who provided the
majority of the vocals and lyrics, while Andy Hunt was the source
of the music and inspiration. The music was, and still is, keyboard
driven, and the combination of musical and vocal styles led to
the unique sound that was to become Cloud Of Dust's early
trademark.
Cloud Of Dust briefly became Cloud Of Dust And The
Particles in 1984, when Lee Jefferies, Nick Wilson Smith,
James Hunt and Mark Cruwys formed the sub-atomic backing group.
Cloud Of Dust is based in Wellington, Somerset, in
the southwest of England, UK, and record on the Quantum Records
label. The label is officially registered in the UK, although
Cloud Of Dust is currently looking for sponsers to aid
in the release of a new album. |
