believes that environmental protection is an important aspect
of our continuing operations.
We wish to preserve the environment in which fossils are
found, do our utmost to minimise environmental impact whilst
looking for fossils, and will actively discourage anyone we find
who is acting against this policy.
We believe that the unique Jurassic coastline should give
the fossils up in its own time, and we therefore actively encourage
beach collection, rather than cliff foraging.
For this reason, the fossils for sale on the 'Fossil Beach'
web site are:-
- Not imported from other countries where we have no control
over the environmental impact
- Not extracted from intact cliffs - only from cliff falls
- Not extracted using tools that would damage the geology of
the area
- Reported if specimens of significant scientific interest
are found
