At stage 1 of the journey we have a full view of the Mandelbrot
set. This is like taking a picture of the entire universe in
one frame.
Within this fractal there are infinite levels of detail, and
in a moment we will take a step closer.
The colours used on this image are those which are chosen
by default by the software we are using (Fractal Explorer). To
find out where to obtain software like Fractal Explorer, please
visit the Fractal Links page.
However, we hope you can wait until you have taken your journey
further into the Mandelbrot Set.
